Драматический Театр (Königin Luise Theater)

The elegant style of Kaliningrad Drama Theatre is a beautiful Russian rebuilding of the former German Queen Luise Theatre which was built 1911-1912. The main scene and area are beautifully decorated and impressive rooms.

Across the street from the theatre there is a small parklike square. Here is a statue of Friedrich Schiller (Памятник Шиллеру). The statue is form 1910 and until 1936 it was located in the Königsgarten park outside the main entrance of the university. At that time the City Theater (Stadttheater) was located next to Königsgarten park.
